Studs
are allowed from November 15th to April 10th.
The vehicle needs a badge at the back. |

chains: |
Obligation
of snow chains should be followed by all means. At a sudden
onset of winter pass-roads will need snow chains. |
| Pedestrian
crossings: |
Pedestrians
at pedestrian crossings must be allowed to cross the road. The
vehicle has to stop even if the pedestrian has not yet stepped
onto the pedestrian crossing. |
| School
buses: |
You
must not pass a school bus while pupils are getting in or out of
the bus. The switched on hazard warning lights will tell you
that. |
| Safety
belts: |
In
Austria there is the obligation of using safety belts. Children
younger than 12 need special safety belts (child´s safety seats). |

Children
must be allowed to cross the road anywhere. |
